Marieke de Jong

I worked closely together with Marieke at Brunotti. At the time she was the senior womenswear designer and I started out in my first job as junior designer.

Marieke was leading in the development of seasonal concepts and overseeing the whole design and development process. Her strong design and technical background as well as great vision have made sure that I gained a great basis to further build my design skills.

Marieke’s key strength, in my opinion, would be her Technical knowledge. She is a strong technical designer who is incredibly passionate about sharing her knowledge.

Besides that Marieke is a hard worker and creative thinker. She’s also a little bit of an Illustrator whizz. She would help me out with tips and tricks concerning any Adobe problem.

Because of Marieke I learned a lot of valuable lessons in the beginning of my Design career. Therefor I would recommend her as part of any apparel brand.

Ik heb met Marieke samen gewerkt bij Brunotti. Ze was women & girls designer in het design team. Met het team van designers en product managers worden de collecties van Brunotti ontwikkeld. Marieke was verantwoordelijk voor de women & girls collecties, van moodboards & colourcards tot en met ontwerp met technische beschrijving voor de fabrikant.
Marieke heeft oog voor detail en veel kennis van pasvorm en patroon tekenen. Ze werkt nauwkeurig en is volledig. Haar interesse voor kunst en cultuur zijn een pluspunt in haar werk. Haar passie voor board sports zijn zichtbaar in haar designs. Marieke kan goed zelfstandig werken en kan goed omgaan met deadlines. Haar werk is creatief én toegepast, een mooie combinatie.
